Rikki Perezchica returned to her Turlock home Sunday night and right away put on the 2011 calendar the dates for next year’s Driscoll Ranch Rodeo.

The overall women’s winner in this year’s rodeo, Perezchica made her intentions known as soon as she was announced the winner.

It was different last year, when not only did she not win the overall title, she didn’t even place in any of her individual events.

“It’s a great atmosphere,” she said. “The staff is very friendly. I just love coming here.”

The weather is an added plus. Though the sun was out, it never got hotter than the 70s during this weekend’s rodeo, the 10th edition. It was in the low 100s in Turlock.

“I’m always going to come here,” Perezchica said.

Levi Grantham was the overall men’s winner.

The arena was close to packed both days of the competition, with the fans grateful for the performances.

“It’s always entertaining,” said bull rider Logan Baker. “We want to put on a good show for the crowd.”
