William “Bill” Taylor of Cottage Grove, Ore., formerly of Half Moon Bay, Calif., passed away on June 8, at the age of 71. Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps and he spent most of his career in computer programming. Bill was also the executive director of the American Heart Association in Northern California.
Bill loved animals, books, jazz music and Tai Chi. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Joe Summa, of Maryland. A memorial service was held on June 17 in Eugene, Ore.
