Adventure Film Festival comes to Santa Cruz

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, Mar 10, 2010 - 04:41:32 pm PST

The conservation group Save Our Shores announced Monday it plans to host the Adventure Film Festival in Santa Cruz. The evening will feature a selection of award-winning films highlighting surfing, kayaking and conservation in an effort to illustrate the many ways people are connected to the ocean.

Based in Boulder, Colo., Adventure Film Festival is in the midst of a worldwide tour. Santa Cruz is the only California stop.

The Ocean Adventure Film Festival will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Rio Theater on April 8; doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 or $10 with student ID, and all proceeds go to funding Save Our Shores programs.

For more information, contact Michelle Hohensee at Save Our Shores at (831) 462-5660 or infor@saveourshores.org.
