Chamber supports parks survey

Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, Mar 10, 2010 - 01:48:39 pm PST

The Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau is asking friends of California’s State Parks to stand up and be counted.

Chamber President and CEO Charise McHugh has sent members a link to a survey being conducted by the California State Parks Foundation and Save the Redwoods League. (http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22AAMCBAPYM). The survey is designed to uncover new visions for the future of parks that many consider imperiled jewels of a cash-strapped state.

The survey asks respondents where they live and how they currently use parks, among other things. The 28-question survey includes a field in which respondents can seek more information.

“Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Bureau supports the new Park Excellence Project and helping Californians to create a vision that we can all fight for -- a vision that includes our collective expectations, wishes, desires and hopes for our California state parks,” McHugh wrote in a Monday e-mail to chamber members.
