San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested four boys for burglarizing a home in Montara, according to a Wednesday press release.

Sheriff’s officers didn’t say when the arrests were made, and weren’t available by phone before Review deadline.

A Montara resident told authorities Monday that a neighbor’s house on the 1300 block of Birch Street had been recently burglarized. The resident described four suspects – young men in hooded sweatshirts and jeans – and their getaway car, a white 1990s Toyota pickup truck with a camper shell.

Inspecting the house, deputies found a window broken and the inhabitant said a laptop computer was missing.

In a follow-up investigation and a series of interviews with “persons of interest,” authorities arrested four boys for burglary. Three were released to their parents and one was booked into the San Mateo County Youth Services Center.

Anyone who may have information concerning the investigation is encouraged to contact Sheriff’s Detective Jim Gilletti at 363-4066 or the Sheriff’s Office anonymous tip line at (800) 547-2700.
