Half Moon Bay’s first game comes at 5 p.m. Thursday against St. Ignatius. Half Moon Bay plays its second game at 5 p.m. Friday against Soquel. The Cougars final pool game is at 10:15 a.m., Saturday against Notre Dame-Belmont.
New CCS rules change the way the tournament is run. Instead of a semifinal and final game, the winner of pool A plays the winner of pool B, with the rest of the teams playing their opposites in the other pool.
Everyone is guaranteed of four games.
The other side of the bracket features Carlmont, Hillsdale, Pioneer and Presentation.
“The tournament gives the girls a chance to play different teams,” Patridge said.
