7:53 p.m., Feb. 6, El Granada Boulevard

A man complained to the Sheriff’s Office that his roommate was hogging the phone line with his dial-up modem. Deputies were sent out to the home and spoke with the roommate, who agreed to stop using the line. The roommate said he would be moving out soon.

Alcohol

2:38 p.m., Feb. 11, Pine Avenue

A 17-year-old girl was reportedly causing a drunken disturbance. She was arrested for public intoxication and taken by paramedics to a hospital. Her parents were notified.

4:43 p.m., Feb. 11, Main Street

A drunken 63-year-old transient was yelling loudly while on someone else’s property. Police were called, and they found the man riding his bicycle away from the scene. Police arrested the transient for riding a bike while drunk.

Battery

9:35 a.m., Feb. 10, Church Street

A 14-year-old Cunha Intermediate School student pushed a classmate.

Burglary

10 p.m., Feb. 12, Spruce Street

Somebody broke into a home and stole approximately $7,500 in jewelry.

Counterfeiting

10 p.m., Feb. 5, Highway 1

A store clerk received a fake $20 bill from an unknown customer. The bill is being forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service for review.

Disturbance

11:24 a.m., Feb. 9, Lewis Foster Drive

A Half Moon Bay High School student reported her ex-boyfriend was making unwanted advances. The teenager was reprimanded for his behavior.

Feb. 9, Arnold Way

A car owner told police that intruders had entered her vehicle and moved things around. Nothing had apparently been stolen from the car.

11:21 p.m., Feb. 11, Poplar Street

A transient family was found sleeping in a car. Police directed the family to a local hotel for the night.

8:27 p.m., Feb. 13, Highway 1

A woman at a Highway 1 restaurant threw a drink at a man, shattering the glass and hitting bystanders. One restaurant patron was cut by the broken glass, but that person declined medical aid. Both the man and woman involved in the incident left before police arrived.

3:13 p.m., Feb. 14, Main Street

A driver hit another vehicle with his car, and he drove off without exchanging information. The driver and passengers in the other car followed, yelling at him. The first driver went to the police station, and said he told the other car to follow him, but they did not.

ID theft

5:12 p.m., Feb. 10, Highway 92

A victim reported her Social Security number was used by someone else to purchase premium television service.

Missing person

5:30 a.m., Feb. 11, Main Street

A 15-year-old girl was reported missing after she didn’t attend school or return home the next day. The missing girl was found two days later at Hatch Elementary School with a friend. One of the girls was charged with a probation violation and the other was cited for trying to run from police.

Theft

Feb. 13, Highway 1

A 17-year-old from Princeton was caught shoplifting at Safeway.

9:50 a.m., Feb. 14, Highway 1

A man set off alarms when he tried to exit a store with a stolen bottle of whiskey.

Vandalism

Feb. 10, Kelly Avenue

Someone used black paint on the wall of a business.

Feb. 12, Oak Avenue

Gang graffiti was found outside the restrooms at Oak Avenue Park.

Warrant

12:27 a.m., Feb. 9, Purissima Street

Police pulled over a car for a faulty brake light, and a passenger bolted from the vehicle and ran away. The driver denied that anyone in the car had fled, and she claimed she didn’t know the identities of her passengers. Officers suspected the runaway passenger was a parolee who was wanted on a no-bail warrant.

7:15 a.m., Feb. 9, Roble Place

Burglars entered a home through the front door and made off with about $3,500 of electronic items.

6 p.m., Feb. 3, Highway 1

Hikers at McNee Ranch State Park returned to their car to discover the side window smashed and a purse stolen from the trunk.

9:58 p.m., Feb. 4, Sixth Street

A burglar accessed a home through an unlocked backyard window and stole a video camera, laptop computer and several video games. The total loss was estimated at $1,800.

11:54 p.m., Feb. 4, Highway 1

Someone bashed open the side window of a parked car to steal a woman’s purse. The victim lost six credit cards, three debit cards and a checkbook, along with $420 in cash.

A mother reported that the father of her children had taken their birth certificates when he moved out.

Princeton

10:34 p.m., Feb. 3, Capistrano Road

During a regular patrol of local taverns, Sheriff’s deputies arrested a bar patron on an outstanding warrant.
