Published/Last Modified on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2010 - 10:55:04 am PST

Vincent Gerald (“Jerry”) Sullivan passed away suddenly on Jan. 31, 2010, at his home in Hidden Valley Lake at the age of 68. He was born on Aug. 7, 1941, in San Francisco and was raised in Pacifica.

In 1973, he moved to Half Moon Bay, and when he and his wife had both retired, they moved to Lake County eight years ago.

He served in the Army and later worked as a sheet metal worker for 35 years, making stainless steel kitchen equipment. He coached youth basketball, baseball and soccer. Jerry was a member/board member of the Hidden Valley Lake Men’s Golf Club, a member of the Hidden Valley Lake Pinochle Club and was “one hell of a cook.”

Survivors include Suzie Sullivan, Jerry’s wife of 47 years; two sons: Joe (Kate) Sullivan of Sunnyvale and their children Kaeley and Brendan, and Mike (Chrystie) Sullivan of Folsom and their children P.J. and Cameron. He leaves behind his sister, Sue (Jose) Ackerman of Pacifica and many more nephews, nieces and cousins. Jerry wanted to be cremated and did not want any funeral services. His family is honoring his wishes and will always remember his sense of humor and smile.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel, (707) 994-6417.
