Charles Patrick Gillen, 76, of Half Moon Bay, Calif., passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2010, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Charles is predeceased by his father, former Newark, N.J. Mayor Charles Parnell Gillen, and mother Margaret Carey Gillen. Surviving are his devoted wife of 23 years Diane (Demi) Gillen, his loving son Charles Patrick Gillen and fiancé Cathy Avanche of Pacifica, Calif., loving daughter Donnalee Gillen of Wall, N.J. and loving grandsons Kavian and Carey.
