Born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 1933, in Newark, N.J., he resided in the Half Moon Bay area for the past 23 years. Before his retirement in 1991, he was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 377 San Francisco. He worked on several landmark buildings as well as the Golden Gate Bridge. He was a staunch advocate of job site safety, and the good and welfare of his brother ironworkers. He was member of the examining board of Ironworkers Local 377.
Charles enjoyed flying and was a member of the U.S. Air Force. He loved the ocean and served in his early years as a lifeguard on the beach in Bay Head, N.J. He also loved music, the mountains, and camping with his loving wife in Lake Tahoe and Convict Lake. He was an avid dog lover especially of his dogs Pat, Barney and Lily.
