Roberta R. Robertson (Bea) was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, on May 15, 1921, and was married to Robert (Bob) for nearly 63 years. They moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1960 and have lived in Montara since 1981.

Bea's children are Bonnie, Doug, Gordon (Nikki), and Sandra (Marshall). Her grandchildren are Hannah, Heather, Tom, and Joanna.

Bea's sisters were Catherine Tanner, Violet Smith, Anne Main and Jessie Powell.


Bea and Bob have been longtime supporters of many Christian organizations, including the Bay Area Rescue Mission, Gideons International, and the San Francisco Gospel Mission.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, in the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma. Interment will follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Bay Area Rescue Mission, 2114 MacDonald Ave., Richmond, CA 94802.

Lederman named Arts Educator of the Year


Local actor, director and theater arts teacher Michael Lederman of El Granada, has been named San Mateo County Arts Educator of the Year by the Peninsula Arts Council.
