Two Half Moon Bay schools reported separate incidents of threatening behavior on Jan. 6, both allegedly involving students and faculty members. At Cunha Intermediate School, a 13-year-old boy reportedly told a teacher: “I’m going to shoot you.” The teacher, who did not feel threatened, waited a day before alerting police. The boy claimed he made the comment to another student who would not return his Rubik’s Cube. Meanwhile, at Half Moon Bay High School, a 16-year-old student told police that he felt threatened by a teacher, who allegedly was yelling at him after he fell asleep during class. Neither incident met the criteria for a criminal threat.
